Make a dashboard from a Google Sheet

Your numbers live in a Google Sheet, but a sheet full of rows is hard to read in a meeting. DashForge does not connect to your Google account. Instead you bring the data over in one of two simple ways: download the sheet as an Excel or CSV file, or select the cells and paste them in. DashForge then works out what each column is, plans charts for your question and builds a dashboard you can filter and share.

1 credit · 2 free credits a day, no sign-up needed

Who it's for

  • Teams that keep sales, orders or sign-ups in a shared Google Sheet
  • Club, school or event organisers with a Google Form responses sheet
  • Freelancers and shop owners who track money in Sheets
  • Anyone who wants a dashboard without building charts by hand

What you get

  • Key number cards at the top
  • Charts chosen for your data: trends, comparisons and shares
  • Findings worked out from your rows, like who leads and what is falling behind
  • One interactive HTML file that opens in any browser, plus the data as CSV

How it works

  1. In Google Sheets, choose File, then Download, then Excel (.xlsx) or CSV. Or select your cells, including the header row, and copy them.
  2. In DashForge, drop in the file or paste the table. It is read on your device.
  3. Check the column roles it found, fix any that are wrong, and say what you want to see.
  4. Build the dashboard (1 credit), then move, hide or restyle parts for free.

Example request

“Pasted from a Google Sheet of form sign-ups: date, city, ticket type, price. Goal: sign-ups per week, which city brings the most, and money from each ticket type.”

What comes back

  • Cards: total sign-ups, total money, average ticket price
  • Weekly sign-ups trend
  • Sign-ups by city
  • Money by ticket type
  • Filters for city and ticket type
  • A table you can search and sort
