Investors often spend under three minutes on a deck before deciding whether to take a meeting. A good deck makes that decision easy: it shows a real problem, a believable solution, proof that people want it, and exactly what you need. Here is how to build one, slide by slide.

You do not need a creative structure. Investors read hundreds of decks and expect the same order, so a familiar order lets them focus on your business instead of hunting for information.
Every slide should have a title that is a full sentence and makes a claim, such as 'Families waste 30% of the vegetables they buy' instead of 'Problem'. A reader who only reads the titles should understand your whole story.
Keep the rest of the slide to a few short lines or one picture. Put explanations in your speaker notes; you will say them, and the deck stays readable when emailed.
Nothing convinces like evidence that people want what you make. Paying customers, monthly growth, a waiting list, pilot results and repeat usage all count. If you are pre-launch, show interviews, sign-ups or letters of intent.
Never round up or invent numbers. Investors check, and one inflated figure makes them doubt everything else.
Most rejected decks fail for the same few reasons, and all of them are easy to fix before you send.
Describe your startup in a few sentences, add your real numbers, and SlideForge plans this exact structure, shows you the outline to change, then writes and designs every slide with speaker notes. It never invents traction; missing numbers are shown as gaps to fill.
10 to 14 slides for a first meeting. Keep extra detail in an appendix or in your notes.
Usually yes, as a PDF. Make it readable without you there, then present a lighter version in the meeting.
Show the evidence you do have: customer interviews, sign-ups, a pilot, a waiting list or letters of intent. Be honest about the stage.
A simple 3-year view with clear assumptions helps. Investors care more about your assumptions than the final number.
