Aim to cover all units well before the final months, so the last stretch is for revision and papers. If tuition is behind, study ahead from the syllabus and textbook.
Tuition explains; self-study makes it stick. After each class, spend time going over the notes and solving problems on your own the same week.
Start with papers by topic as you finish units, then full papers under time later. Mark them honestly with the marking scheme and keep a mistakes book.
In maths-heavy subjects, practise problems daily. In theory subjects, make short notes and test recall. In all subjects, learn the definitions and standard answers markers look for.
Break the time into revision rounds: one full round of all units, a second faster round focused on weak units, then papers and mistakes review in the last month.
Sleep, food and short daily exercise affect results more than people think. Two years is long; burning out early helps no one.
Every student is different, but a balanced week often looks like this.
StudyPlanner builds an A/L timetable around tuition: add your subjects and weak units, mark your free times, and it schedules revision rounds and papers up to the exam.
Outside school and tuition, three to five focused hours on most days is common in the final year.
Many students use it, but consistent self-study and past papers matter most.
As soon as you finish a unit, by topic; full papers in the final months.
Find the units costing you the most marks and give them extra sessions, with problems every day.
